With dominating barbicans and battlements, Radix Stronghold stands testament to the martial prowess once employed by the city of Buel'Sar. While its labyrinthian grounds - a complex of tangled quarters and corridors - have fallen to ruin, the bloody legacy of king Wilgram still permeates the layers of steel and stone.

In ancient times predating the Night Plague, Radix Stronghold was an outpost established by Ferrum craftsmen and named after their leader. Barred from their Ferrum capital of Emberensis, the unknown band travelled far north into the territory of Man during peace time in Old Talamhel. Once the human kingdoms declared war on the Ferrum, Warrior King Wilgram and Queen Ayenna took over the stronghold and it was ultimately turned into a human fortress.

After an age of corruption and Night, this stronghold of Ferrum and Buel'Sarian craftsmanship has fallen into chaos and disarray, its fortifications breaking and walls overgrown with poisoned Blackthorn. It is now reigned by the Wilgram Twins Cyran and Berin, determined to defend what pride and honor is left of their royal family's heritage.

Accessing Radix Stronghold requires completing the Side Quest Emerald Flame, Ember Heart and progressing through the Main Story until Firebombs have been gained from Tannen during the Main Story Quest Reverie and Libations.

The Scavenging Side Quest Radix Reliquary can be accepted on Radix Stronghold.

The Side Quest The Smile of Hatred to upgrade the Forge can be accepted on Radix Stronghold.
