Quest Overview

A Fruitful Experience is a Side Quest in Sands of Aura. Side quests are optional and do not alter the primary ending of the game, but some may alter the arcs of certain characters. Some side quests are dependent upon other quests to begin or may only become available once the main narrative of the game has been progressed to a specific point. Note: The Frost Spellblade must be acquired from the Coldwell before this quest can be completed.

"Sir Gideon, The Enigmatic, has requested your assistance in apprehending a mage disguised as a Lomello fruit which grows only in the harsh environment of Radix Stronghold. While he optimistically recommended you start where the bramble is thickest, there was a hint of doubt that the skills of a Remnant Knight would not be enough to pluck this most elusive of fruits from its vine.”

Part One After entering Radix Stronghold, proceed to the main chamber with the large pool where Lakin, The Weapon Smith works. From Lakin’s position to the back left corner of the room where you’ll find a staircase. Progress up the staircase until you get to the split path with the thorny brambles and two archers. Follow the set of stairs that descend down beside the large thorn patch and follow the battlement as it runs along the thorn patch until you notice a ladder which ascends a tower. Climbing the ladder will bring you to a platform where Sir Gideon stands. Speaking to Sir Gideon reveals that he came to Radix Stronghold tracking a shapeshifting “mage,” who has disguised himself as a Lomello Fruit. Sir Gideon asks your help with trapping the mage. Speaking further with Sir Gideon reveals that Lomello Fruits are known for teleporting along their vines as a means of self-defense, he recommends you visit an island to the northwest of Radix Stronghold to obtain an ability to counteract that defense. Heeding Sir Gideon’s instructions and sailing northwest will bring you to the Coldwell. After exploring within and completing the Liturgy of Ice quest, you’ll obtain the Frost Spellblade. With the Frost Spellblade equipped, you can freeze the Lomello Fruit on the vine before it teleports, collect it and return it to Sir Gideon. Step By Step Go down the elevator from Sir Gideon. Go into the throne patch next to the elevator Equip frost spellblade and attack the fruit to collect it. Bring the fruit back to Sir Gideon Part Two After giving Sir Gideon the Lomello Fruit he reveal his deception. There never was any “mage,” rather Sir is in Radix tracking a dangerous cultist called Saphom Salius. Gideon sought to delay his course because Saphom was once his student. Asking your help again, Sir Gideon reveals that the Lomello Fruit can be used to counteract the vile poison in which Saphom coats her blades. With this information, and with the Lomello Fruit returned to you, you may explore Radix Stronghold to find Saphom. Saphom can be found along the higher platforms of Radix Stronghold. To get there, exit Radix Library using the lever before the locked gate opposite the side you entered and follow the rightmost path until you come again to the room with the pit. From there, cross the bridge above the main entrance and follow the path straight until coming to another stairway with falling boulders. Ascend the stairs and proceed to the left where you’ll see a small set of stairs. Upon that platform Saphom Salius waits and she will become hostile as soon as you approach. After using the Lomello Fruit in your inventory to counteract her poison, you can engage and defeat her. With Saphom defeated you’ll notice Sir Gideon again caged nearby. Speaking to him reveals that after speaking with you, he had sought out Saphom with the hope that she may be convinced to leave. He rewards you with the full bounty for your efforts and when freeing him from his cage, the quest completes. Step By step From the bell, Turn right at the dock to the small elevator shortcut and go up. Follow the path to the right and up some stairs avoiding the rolling boulder and up the next flight to the left. At the top of the stairs turn left and you will see a platform with a small set of stairs, go up the stairs. Defeat Saphom Salius and free Sir Gideon from yet another cage.
