The Talisman of Death Shield is a Blessing of the Goddess Leisis bestowed upon the player character. It acts as an equippable accessory independent from gear - the effect stays permanent so long as the Talisman is junctioned. Blessings can be swapped out at will on Starspire Refuge by talking to Navae, The Leisistral Priestess after completing the Side Quest Ashes and Dirt.
Junctioning Death Shield occupies two Talisman Slots.
Effect
The bearer is given a second chance after receiving a fatal blow. Can only be activated once per rest/respawn.
Location
The talisman is found in Crumbling Basilica on an altar in the crumbling church.
Lore
A cherished charm believed to have belonged to Torsten of the Radiant Justiciars. After a series of ecclesiastical differences agitated the city, Torsten was one of the first condemned. While many claimed the inaccuracy of executioner’s swing was due to sympathetic leanings, others pondered if it was Leisis’ light which favored the guilty. Regardless, the executioner’s blade eventually found its mark.
